  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jakub and BuildMax as they have successfully executed two major projects at our home. The first was in 2017 when BuildMax converted a small attic into an absolutely amazing family room. This was a very difficult project as (i) the exterior had to exactly match that of the three other units (ii) it was on 4th floor with some parts not easily reachable and (iii) he had to deal with some challenging personalities. Jakub and his crew came through with flying colors. They are professional, creative (provide great ideas) and true craftsmen. In addition, Jakub leverages his background as an architect to make fantastic recommendations with respect to designs, construction processes and materials. Jakub is very responsive and and backs up his work. After this project we’ve recommend BuildMax to numerous friends and we used him to remodel our kitchen which is now a cooking oasis thanks to BuildMax. In conclusion Jakub and BuildMax are the best contractor I’ve worked with and I’ve worked with a bunch!

  Buildmax Design and Construction, Inc. was hired by our development firm to build a new construction single family house in Chicago. They completed new construction on time with very skilled crews. All work was done with the high quality and they helped us to select spectacular finishes and materials to quickly sell the house.

I just finished a large bathroom rehab with Jakub at Build Max Design and Construction. He was awesome. So prompt and organized from getting permits to coordinating all the trades. I got him recommended from this group (North Shore)and I will definitely use him again. He also does larger projects including large additions and even new home builds. He has very reliable sub contractors and dealt very well with all of the village inspectors. 

In a world full of tradespeople who’s only priority seems to be their bottom line, it’s a pleasure to work with Jakub and the Buildmax crew. Jakub takes the time to dig into what the best approach is to executing a project and will take the time to communicate complex issues to clients. His helpful demeaner and cool head in what can sometimes be a chaotic building site is a welcome pleasure. Buildmax’s skill set is top notch on a myriad of complex building methods including carpentry, installation, masonry and roofing.

We’ve used Buildmax on several commercial projects and are always very satisfied with the work and appreciate their courteous and professional attitude. Jakub and his crew have also done all the masonry work on my own historic brick home.
